Has anyone messed up on a T-top conversion

Ive seen time after time posts on how easy it is to do the ttop conversion, but I want to know if anyone has ever screwed up while doing it... Im debating doing this in the future, but I think to myself if I messed up, there would be nothing that I could do to fix it.... so let me know. Thanks

the only thing you could really screw up would be to mangle the sail panel, and you could always go buy another. the trim around my windshield is kinda crappy lookin, but im just havent gotten around to havin it replaced, since it still works just dandy. i guess it will just depend on your standards. mine isnt perfect, and it bugs the hell outta me, but im too lazy to redo it.

but seriously, like i always tell people about the conversion; by far the hardest part is workin up the ***** to make that first cut through the roof.

Take your time

Aslong as you take your time, you really shouldnt make any mistakes. Always double check your cuts, and preplan them before cutting. Mark everything you're going to cut, to cut down on mistakes. The only mistake I see happening would be cutting "TOO" much of something. But you really shouldnt run into problems.

You hit it right on the nail dude...Cutting too much of something would be the only possivble way you could mess up!.. and the hardest thing is working up the ***** to do it! Just remember ...your hardtop coupe wasnt designed to be a hardtop! Under that plastic hardtop IS the T-top Frame all ready for you!!!!!!! ALL these cars were designed to be T-TOP cars! youll know what I mean once you peel off the top plastic cover, because that's all it is a plastic cover that covers the T-TOP FRAME... Once I peeled that plastic cover off I didnt need the pictures from the wbsites....it is preety much obvious to what you have to do...am I right or wrong guys????
