Any ideas for the new toy?

Just picked up my first Camaro,it's a '89 Z28. It's got a couple of subtle mods on the inside (just little things:b&m shifter,JDM steering wheel, etc)but the outside hasn't had much done to it but have a new paint job and a 4" induction hood.I would like to do something with it,but i'm not sure what. i picked this car up dirt cheap because the owner owns a body shop so he had like 20 cars to get rid of,so as of now i still have some money i can use for it. If anyone has any cool idea for some mods, inside or out let me know! I will post more pictures of it soon, just have one right now of it sitting on a trailer as you can see...so let's get some ideas rolling!

that would be great, if i could afford a big motor.lol. it's got the standard 305 in it,so i would love to upgrade it, i just gotta find someone that has a reasonably priced motor for sale. and i think the parentals would flip ,haha,oh well.i was thinking about buying a ;83 with a 4-barrel v8 in it, and flow masters, but the dad decided that he would ban me from the house if i got it. darn.

The car looks pretty good as it stands.. but with it sitting on a trailor and having the cowl hood, it is screaming for a motor with more cubic inches, ported heads, and a high revving cam.

i totally agree...but sadly down here where i live in the middle of nowhere there are absolutely no places that can help modify anything on it. and shipping will kill me if i want to get anything big. can you guys think of anywhere down here in florida where anything goes on?

Try posting the question in the regional forum applicable to your area. I'm sure there are some Florida third-gen owners that can steer you in the right path.

Get different wheels for sure! Maybe some chrome 17x9 ZR1 replicas.

Amen to that. Those wheels are cold rolled vomit.

After that, just start your way down the path to an engine swap. Toss an LSx motor into it, or even an LT1.

JDM steering wheel? I'm hoping in the name of God that JDM is some stupid new brand and not what it usually is...

go to http://flthirdgen.ipbhost.com/index....-thirdgen.org/
I would keep it simple. 350 CARBED cam heads headers etc.. just have fun with it. Thats what I am doing with my 86 TA.

HAHA!!!! I just went to go look at the car again, the x-owner is such a retard. he said it had a 305 5.0 in it...well i looked it's actually got a 350 5.7 in it with a holley carburator. the mechanic of the place said they replaced the engine months ago and they guy never noticed. wow...and according to they title..it IS an '84...sheesh. i was wondering, like you guys, why the heck he would put a diff. bumper on since he advertised it as an '89 so now the mystery is solved. but i gotta get it to run now...hahahaha. the transmission is stuck in drive. and won't whift and the shifter is all screwed up. i got some work ahead of me.
