Has the 98-02 Camaro body style grown on anyone over the years?

As of now, I can somewhat understand why 98-02 guys may not want to do an LT1 front end swap. I couldn't blame somebody for wanting to keep a car unmolested, who up until just last year was considered "the last of the breed." And of course, logic dictates that the talking ego is going to naturally say that what it owns is the best. But I'm thinking that as soon as the 5th Gen Camaro comes out, and the 98-02 owners start to see that their cars are not as bulletproof against depreciation as they once were, only then will we begin to see how much that body style's looks are really appreciated.

The LT1 camaros, with their 80's styled headlights, look like something that should be sitting in front of a mobile home on cinder blocks with the paint chipping and peeling off. Whereas the LS1 camaros look modern.
Thats the best way i could think of putting it. I think the LT1 Camaros are ugly. Of course we all know the LS1 T/A owns all...

If I had an LT1, I would want to upgrade to the LS1 front clip solely for the improved headlights. I don't care how old it looks, but recessed sealed-beam headlights simply aren't going to provide as much illumination.
That said, I've driven a '95 Camaro at night, and was impressed with how much light it did manage to get to the road. Still nowhere near what my '02 can do though.

My preference is the Firehawk hood. The WS6 hood always reminded me of gorrilla nostrils.

Thats always the case. People dumped their C4's to get C5's then dumped them to get C6's. People also dumped their 3rd gen to get an early 4th gen then dumped it to get a later 4th gen. I know several LS1 guys dumped their f-bod to get an 03 Cobra when it came out. There are people that are always looking for the latest and greatest thing. Most people like only keep a car for a couple of years so they have most likely already moved on from the 98-02 F-body and they're driving newer cars.

My take is the LT1 front end has a much better side profile then the LS1. Its too rounded for my liking. I'm hoping that focuz tech comes out with a nice upgrade to our square lights though, well see what people think about this once they come out. Also if we were comparing stock, the LT1 wins by a landslide, but if you upgrade the LS1 with some nice black halo housings, thats when it starts giving the LT1 a run for its money.

-the 93-96 looks more integrated as a design, the 98+ looks a bit like an afterthought
- I think the 93-97 looks more aggressive because of the deeply recessed small rectangular lights.
-the big black plastic "mouth" on 98+ looks fake
-the peanut headlights dull with the sun and age, they look worse when it happens and require more care
-when I first saw the 98 at an autoshow I hated it, looked like a watered down copy of the Jag XKR, then I accepted a bit better.
However, Nicely modified and clean 98+ models can look nice too, they are F-bodies after all so I like them.
