Halo's vs the projector halo headlights

Just curious because I had halo's on my 00 SS and couldnt see anything at night. Are the projector halo style lights any better?

Uhm... Halo's aren't for seeing better at night... at least not from a lighting standpoint. They help other people see your car, but won't like up the road any better/different than a normal setup.

He's talking about the type of halo headlights, there's only 2 types. The one with one angel eye + regular headlight bulb housing and the other with two angel eyes + projector housing and the projector ones really sucks.

"she" lol not he. But yeah you are correct. Thanks johnny. If he would have read my post he would have known what I was talking about. I stated that I had halo's in my 2000 ss and couldnt see anything. Way worse than stock. The ones I am talking about now are the projector halo's. The halo's I had definately were not made for anything other than looks.

Sorry

I'm shopping around for the stockers again, my original ones were so bad that even the inside of the lens was oxidized. I went to the single halo's which were crap and then i went to the projector halos which are even worse Stockers + 10k or 12k hid kit with ballast =

I bought the 3m stuff to clear up headlights. It was alot of work but they look brand spanking new now. I am glad you told me the projector's sucked. Saved me over $200. It was only $21 for the 3m kit. Thanks so much!

I guess I need to look for new bulbs to brighten it up a bit. Any recommendations?

You can easily go HID, what color are you aiming for? Look at that chart at the bottom right of the pic, i'm going 10000K (brilliant blue). Remember don't just buy the bulbs, get the kit which also includes the ballast, it's around $60 for the whole thing.

I had the angel eyes halo headlights that I bought off ebay some time ago and were impressed with the ones that I received. These came with the bulbs and were just as bright as my OEM ones. I don't remember who the seller was though.
