Re: ground effects or lowering

Do both. I have lowered my Camaro 1.5" and have a Wings West bodykit. I also have 315's in the rear, no problems. Clearing curbs is a problem, but I have a solution. What I did was install a 4-sensor parking assist system, equipped with a digital gauge for assisting in accurate judgment of distance. It also had an audible tone, but that got so annoying, that I simply disassembled the gauge and removed the speaker. Here's how it looks on the exterior. I had to drill holes in the bumper to mount these:

I mounted the gauge in that useless spot between the cassette holder and CD player, and wired it to a flip switch, so the gauge wasn't on 24/7. Here it is "OFF":

And here it is when I flip the switch (also pictured):

The distance is measured in meters, accurate to about 0.2 to 0.3m, and it has a LED light bar on each side to show how close your bumper is to an object. Systems like these cost around a few hundred bucks, but I lucked out and got mine on eBay for $50...

Here's a few different kinds I found on Ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/LED-Display-4-Se...QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LED-R...31619067QQrdZ1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LED-P...31647121QQrdZ1

If you don't want to buy it on ebay, here's a website that sells them:
