I got pull over today and the damn cop gave me **** about my side tint and no front plate He never gave me a ticket but a warning instead and I have to show him in 1 month at the station that I got those 2 things fixed So here is my question. Where is the absolute cheapest place i can get a front license plate holder? Its a 94 Z28. Anyone have one they want to sell? Thanx.

just get some L-brackets from the hardware store. Have a worker help you choose the right size ones. Cost me like 3 bucks and saved the front end from having small holes in it

Does the airdam trick actually work? Anybody have their plate mounted in the airdam and get away with it? I have to show the cops my car after I get the front plate on and I dont want to do it if it wont work

Sorry to hear that, but I think the front license thing is bull. I've never seen a 93-97 camaro come standard for a license plate. GM made it like that, I think the cop shouldn't give you bs over what GM made.

He gave me an inspection warning. He said if its not done by the date on the warning they will sieze my car and I will have to pay 2 tickets on the tint and plate and I can't get my car back till I fix it because it is deemed "unsafe" to drive on the roads F0cking cops

hey, just thought of something.. i bought a suction cup license plate mount kit(2 bucks) from kragen... i think it is meant for the back window of a pickup or something, but anyways, i stuck the plate in the front window cause the gate gaurds on my base were giving me hell about it... i just yank the plate out when im not on post and the only drawback seems to be little suction cup marks on the windshield.. i dunno if the police would accept that as a fix to the prob, but it may be worth a try...

It's an option on every car that doesn't have a place built in, as it is required in numerous states, including the Peoples Republic of California. My Z, bought in TX had it, which I removed when I moved to TN. Unfortunately, I threw it away or I would send it to HSYR. My Vette, had one, but not installed, as the dealer said I might need it if I moved (he orders all his cars with one, and puts it in the trunk.)

Front plate tickets are somewhat BS, but it is the law, so if they stop you, you're toast. You should hear the guys on the Vette sites moan about those tickets.

Yea on the warning it says I have to be there by November 7th at 4:00pm. If I don't it says I will be convicted of the following crimes. Anyone know where I can get 2 side windows out of a 93-02 camaro that I can swap with my tinted ones? The guy did such a good job tinting them that they look factory, and I don't want to remove the tint Just swap windows, make a plate braket for $5, show them, take plate back off and put tinted windows back on and be on my way. This sux

I have a front license plate bracket you can have. Free. Just pay the shipping. It is the stock one that comes with our cars.

THe cheapest thing to do with the plate is go buy some Velcro. Put some on the body and the other side on the plate, and stick it on just before you go inside the court house. Not sure what you should do about the tint.

Same thing happened to me last year........only minus the tint.

Wasn't a problem, I put the plate on and showed the police - and then took it off again.
