Got the DRL's on and the Ram air intake installed...LOOK

I bought the DRL's from www.webelectricproducts.com and got the GM ram air box brand new from a member of this site. Got the K&N too....pretty pricey though for that filter. I noticed a little performance gain with the ram air...and you can sure hear it hiss or suck the air when you nail it. I love the look of them both, what do you guys think?

Wow great job on the intake, my lazy *** still hasn't made mine functional yet. I have all the pieces including the same intake as you from a WS6. Did you put any baffles or anything? I am wondering when I do this if I go to wash my car I am going to soak my air filter???

Thats one thing I'm afraid of...is soaking the filter when washing with a power washer. It will only get wet if you spray directly into the nostrels. I think I'm going to all hand washes now. I'm going to get baffles for it, but they are like $65 each from GM ...I can wait on those. Bugs get into the filter really easy w/o the baffles...

The DRL's look good (I think they would look better hyperwhite)

The intake is a 100% improvement. WOW.

I dont even think the DRL's was an option until 96 or 97.

I like the look of the amber DRL's better, but thanks for the compliment.

josh...question about DRLs

Josh,

I saw the setup on www.webelectricproducts.com awhile ago but haven't heard of anyone using it untill now. I have one question for you. Some of the earlier DRL mods required replacing the stock turn signal flasher relay with a heavy duty digital flasher from autozone for around 10 bucks. Do you have any problem with the turn signals flashing with the webelectric kit, or did you have to replace the flasher.

Thanks,

Robert O.

DRL's weren't available until the '97 model year, and they are standard on all '97+ vehicles.

I like the look of the amber DRLs also.

Yes it was very easy, just kinda time consuming. The part that took the longest was running the wire from one side of the car to the other and then finding a place to give the module power. I have a wire running back to the fusebox...that way they turn on when my car does and I don't have to flip a switch or anything.

All-in-all it took me maybe 1.5 to 2 hours....but I'm a meticulous person and I like to take my time so I don't screw anything up.

Nope...I haven't had any problems with it...it's a great module. Turn signals work just as they are supposed to. You can also choose the option of having a synchronized or non-sychronized mode on this module.

Hey ROADRAGE...your car looks good with the shaved door handles! Is there a fail-safe mode for getting into your car in case the remotes or the door pop solenoid fails?
