good "super white" bulbs for the corners?
I have just installed some H.I.D. bulbs in my high and lows, and they look grate. the only problem is that the bulbs in my clear corners look like crap next to them. so if anyone can recomend so "super white" bulbs for the running lights that would be awsome. a part # would be cool to.

Is it 1157 or 3157 for DRL's???
Also, do either/both work the same as stock bulbs as far as functionality-
i.e. brighter during the day, dimmer when parking/headlights are on, and blink when you use your turn signal???

Yes, front for a pre-98 is an 1157 bulb I believe.... you can double check that by simply pulling the bulb out and looking at it. It should be printed on the black plastic base of the bulb. If it's a round base, it's 1157, if it's a rectangular base, it's a 3157.

On my '95 the front large bulb is the 3157, not the 1157. I imagine it'd be the same for the '97, but better check. Sylvania had it listed as 1157 for my car even though it's wrong. The small turn signal bulb is 194.
I used Eurolite's Xenon bulbs and they look great and have lasted several months so far. There is usually someone selling them on Ebay. I'm going to pick up their Xenon Fusion headlights soon too.

So I go to autozone today and pick up my 1157 bulbs, come home take out my broken bulb... and lo-and-behold, it's a 3157. No biggie- I didnt open the 1157 pack so I'll just swap em. Just read that last message a bit too late. Thanks tho, I'll probably just get some white 3157's from Autozone- not hyperwhite, that way it will cost under $5 instead of $20...

I just looked in my Chiltons guide and it has 2397 listed as the front turn signal. I'm in the same boat my front clear corners look like crap now because my headlights and piaa driving lights are so bright! Is there a guide online some place that lists all the bulb numbers for the different bulbs in our cars? The Chiltons has one but I'm not sure how accurate it is.
EDIT: I just went on the Sylvania web site and it lists 2397 as the front turn signal and parking light as well. It also lists the back up light as 1141 as opposed to 1151 which the Chilton guide says. These were the only 2 differences between bulbs I saw.

Stock replacement is a 2397...an 1157 bulb is a cross-reference. It will work in the socket with no problem. There are lots of bulbs that are cross references. Also, to look up parts quick on the net, I use AutoZone's website...check it out...click me. Just add you car to the list thing or whatever and you can pull up just about every part for it.
