Hey guys and gals. Anybody here have problems with the gloe box latch braking?

The glove box latch was broken when I got the car. The handle was stuck all the way up. I took the latch apart and and fixed it. It appeared that maybe someone tried to force the glove box open. The latch wasnt broke, the sping inside and simply snapped into the wrong place and the nigne was stuck.

But anyways, I got the latch fixed but the glove box doesnt line up properly. (didnt before either) The right side is down too far and the latch wont connect with the hook.

I thought that maybe the air bag had gone off before and had miss aligned everything. But everything is appears to be untouched. (Carfax is also clean of accidents.)



Anybody offer some help here?



If not it will be going to the dealership.

 

actually it comes off real easy..and might not be seated in right to the pins..take a look..maybee something is blocking it..I had to take my box off before and had a similar problem ..it was a wire hanging down that got in the way of it closing flush

 

I took the glove box off and couldnt see anything blocking it. I will have to double check on that.

 

Yea, mine got stuck or something, so I broke that ***** off. Now I am looking for a new one.

I currently open my glove box with a screwdriver...did I mention I only live 40 minutes away from West Virginia?

I think I am just going to have a dealership fix it. I am sick of skrewing with it.
