Ghost flames
Ghost flames
How would ghost flames look on a Purple Pearl Metallic paint job? I am not even sure if it is ghost flames that I am thinking of, but I was throwing the idea around of having flames that you could only see at a certain angle. Anyone have any opinions on this?
Nice work Frank, that looks good. I remember the first fbody I ever rode in was a white 2000 Camaro SS with these flames on the front and fenders that you could only see if the light hit it just right. I would be extra picky about the flow of the flames though, because I DO NOT like flames, but if they are done right, which in my opinion is hardy ever, they can look amazing. I would also want to do this myself. The plan would be to buy some vinyl or something and apply it, paint, then take the precut vinyl off. Not sure if that makes since or not, but I am going to find a way to do it!
It's a pretty risky proposition because there's so many ways for a flame job to look terrible. I've seen it time and time again. I haven't honestly seen too many 4th gen Camaros with well executed flame jobs. Be picky about your style.

, if you've never painted ghost flames before, and you want them to look good, then I suggest you don't do it yourself!
