go somewhere that will do the back in one piece and uses vynil to do over the dots. you dont loose any visibility, it just covers up the dots. if its not one piece, it looks real bad. its more expensive because your paying for a really good tinter, but its worth it.

When I had my back hatch tinted in 1996, they removed the glass to do it, and it still looks 100% perfect to this day. Not a single bubble. Had it done in New Mexico.

Just make sure they vinyl over the dots like was said.
1 piece rear window.
and make sure they use a high quality tint (Mine's warrantied for life from fading/discoloring/pealing/etc).

I had mine done in '99 and it still looks perfect.

oh, and taking the window out is just nutz; there's no need for it at all from a shop that really knows what their doing. 1 piece on the outside of the rear window (with the backer still on)soaked with water; then heat gun it to shape it properly; trim; then remove from the outside and apply to the inside; job done.

I'd find a shop that use's 3m tint. It's high quailty and has a lifetime warranty. AS far as tinting over the the dotted section I heard that was'nt a good idea with tint. Never seen it vinyled
