Getting a set of C5 Rims, question about spacers.....

Im buying a set of the 5 spoke, thin, 17in, C5 corvette rims. I was told i would need spacers.... How much do they cost? What size? And how hard are they to put on? Could i do it in the parking lot myself the second i get the rims if i had the spacers?

And just your opinion, is $800 a good deal... Used with tires, unsure what kind, but they have more thread life left then my current tires.

$800 w/usable tires is a pretty good deal. I've seen sets of the silver skinny spokes go for about $500-$800 w/no tires. If they came with sensors, you can pull them out whenever you change tires and sell them to somebody with a vette for a few bucks.

If you need to use spacers, they will be of the "slip-on" type. It's like a round disc with 5 ovals in it. You probably won't need them but if you do use them, you would wanna use like a 5/16" or 1/4". You can find them at most auto parts stores.

Try the rims on first and if they rub anywhere (hard cornering, lot of weight in the back of the car) then pick up a set. You may only need two if any.

I am 90% sure you don't need them for the 17" C5 rims though.
