fuel rail covers

fuel rail covers

got a set of fuel rail covers from summit. cheap, 39 for the pair. how should i cut them to fit? also, what product should i use to fill in the corvette lettering, and prep it so i can re-paint them?

not an expert here but no one else posted....

I bought mine already modified but my understanding is they use bondo to fill in the lettering, sand down to smoother surface, prime, then paint, put on some clear, put on your decals, put on some more clear to seal it up....


as far as the cut goes to modify it, I am pretty sure there is a template or walkthrough if you search around from other guys doing it. Otherwise you can tell by looking at a pic on afterthoughtsauto.com and looking in the engine bay to see where the correct cuts should be made...

I had some extra money so I just got some premade ones so I didnt have to do the work....good mod tho
