Fuel Rail Covers

Im wanting to get some fuel rail covers from an lt1 vette, and have some questions...

does anyone know where or how to get them?

or the gm part number?

about how much do they run?

how hard are they to install?

Is there any modifications or extra parts required?

Anyone got pictures of them on an Lt1?

thanks guys

Ebay or the man with the plan, Dal. He's the GM hookup for this board. Jason Cromer is the other guy I think.

No.

I got mine for $40 each back in 98 but they're probably way more now.

Easy install.

You have to cut them on passenger's side for the alternator bracket and driver's for the fuel pressure regulator.

Pics here.

Re: Fuel Rail Covers

Some sort of an EGR or vacuum pipe is needed to do it right, but most just notch the cover to clear from what I remember. Also note shipping costs on gmpartsdirect is really steep.

They "attach" with 4 prongs that break quite frequently, and 4 useless studs that screw into existing holes in the intake manifold. You have to move your fuel lines behind the intake too. You really don't need a longer vacuum hose.

Re: Fuel Rail Covers

There must be someone out there that sells direct bolt-on's? I would think someone makes these with the right pre-cut's and mounting hardware to bolt right on to LT1 camaro's & firebirds

Re: Fuel Rail Covers

Been looking at these too, and I think the LT4 covers are really close to being the same thing, except they are red.
