There are plastic rivets/keepers/body trim-screws underneath the front air dam that cannot be removed without ruining them.

Where can I purchase and what kind of tools will I need to install the front plate mount and bracket from SLP that are on the way?

 

A parts store might have those fasteners, otherwise, the dealership should for sure.

 

the dealership will definitely have them. If I were you I would go down to the body shop at the dealer and just try asking one of the guys working in there if he knows what you are talking about and he will probably give you some for free. That is how I usually do it because they just have a huge box full of all that kind of stuff.

 

My '02 has the license plate frame molded into the grill. You should be able to order one from a Chevy dealership. Check pics in my sig if you need to.
