Front corners Install question

I got some clear front corner lamps and took a look from above and below after removing a underbody panel off my 01 Z-28. Looks like if there is a way to remove the headlight assembly without effecting alignment, that might be the way to go. How did you install yours? Thanks.

Re: Front corners Install question

There are a few screws (if I remember corectly) that hold each corner light in. Once you remove these and disconnect the light from the wiring harness, you should beset to go. The tricky part is getting underneath the car with everything still attached.

I personally added mine since my front bumper was off beng repainted so it was easy.

He's got the LS1 so it'll be different I'm guessing.

I too have the LT1 and it was a breeze from underneath. Let's hope someone with an LS1 who's done it before can lend you a hand.

I tried from underneath and could see it would be a pain. Not much better from the top. There are two metal struts that come off the headlight assembly, and two studs with nuts on the fender side. That should physically remove the entire assembly. But the space to get at the fender side nuts is slim. Wish I had a women who could wrench.

Re: Front corners Install question

Now this is 100% guessing, but I thought with LS1's you could just pop the headlights out and then tada have access to the corners? Maybe that's just for bulb replacement, tho, again I'm not at all sure. The last time I saw pics of a clear corner install, the guy took the whole damn bumper off (which will prolly be my way, considering the panel underneath my bumper has quite literally bonded with my bumper some how)
