Is Pontiac Black really a simple black? I need to get my front bumper painted and only my front bumper because of it chipping and some a$$hole hitting it today and leaving a crapload of scratches... I can get the front bumper painted/clear coated for $250. I'm just scared it won't match the rest of the car. The rest of the paint is pretty mint... good shape, just the front bumper sucks

 

When i got my front clip and hood repainted on my Camaro both body and paint guys i talked to said Black is Black. Obviously there is flat, semi, and black with metalillic flakes but i believe what they were getting at is that gloss black is gloss black.

 

Just have the body shop use the proper black paint code for your year to be sure. Good news is that black is one of the easiest colors to match without blending
