Re: Foggy LS1 headlights help

i was gonna say "do a search"...but then i realized that my post from the other day with directions was still on page 1

"i went and bought a $3 package of 1000grit 3M wet/dry sandpaper and went to town.

i started on the heavily affected areas with just a simple side to side motion with quite a bit of pressure, using water. as it got cleaner i used less pressure and more circular motion. following this i used some simple chrome polish compund that i had laying around to get out some small swirl marks. i then finished it off with some Mothers Pre-wax cleaner that has a VERY VERY mild abbrasive in it. this gave a pretty good lusterous shine to the headlights. i had to go back and re-do some of the edges, but in the end it came out well
