This may sound dumb, thats if it is even possible....people say they want a new style/ whole housing for the LT1's...I have seen the thread but....what if you used fog lights like from meijers or your local shop....like the halogen ones....you would have to wire it up differently but it would look sweet and it would be alot cheaper than buying the hella's which are like $100 bucks a pair where you could get some fog lights that are just as bright, if not brighter for like 30 bucks...

It may be a good idea or bad but i like it...

Don't fog lights generally have different beam patterns than headlights? I may be way off but most fog lights seem to project shorter distances and at a wider angle than headlights. Of course that may not matter much.

Other than that I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to use fog lights as long as they fit.

On a side note, I got 2 new pairs of Hella FF75s off Ebay for about $70 shipped. You just have to be patient and you can usually find some for cheap.

Edit: I got them from 99centsnoreserve, but it doesn't look like he has any right now.

 

yeah that might be right about the beam patterns but if you had 6 of these thats including the fog lights. but I know my friend has just 2 of the xenon fog lights and he can use them for quite a while before he has to turn his headlights on.

Just and idea...

 

I had the Hella FF75 driving lights in place of my headlights and the FF75 Fogs in the fog locations. The fog light pattern is very wide horizontally and the light doesn't go very far forward at all. You'd at least need some driving lights because the light from the fogs doesn't go far and you'd easily out run them.
