But what is worse? Getting talked to by the cops for getting someone's car wet or getting fined for having flames shooting out the back?

If i had flamethrowers id only use em in my driveway to show em off and crap like that,... No point on using them on the road. You really dont need to do anything special to do it. Get a spark plug screwed into your exhaust, make sure there arent any leaks and get enough voltage to the plug to create a spark. You dont need to do anything special to the engine/ignition because there is always unburnt fuel in your exhaust.

i wouldn't set them on fire or anything lol - i just figure that i'd speed up so i get far enough away, set off the flames for a short burst and then go back to normal speed - sort of as a warning. i sure as hell wouldn't want to be close to a flamethrower exhaust and would hope that the tailgater would back off from common sense... but i do think that after all is said and done that i'm going to nix the flamethrower idea for now at least...
