6 inches of bondo is pretty deep an it might "fall" off in a few years. I'd get a dent puller...has weldable (or nonweldable) pins that you put on the dent. Then you attch the slide hammer it comes with and basically "pulls" the dent out. That is the EASIEST way if its 6 inches deep...I'm assuming its about a foot and a half round right???

A Body shop will weld pins on it and then use a special hammer to pull the dent back out...

However, 6" seems kinda deep

Re: fix a rocker pannels???

thats what i was referring too...but you can also get non-weldable pins. those kind stick with hot glue...never used on anything yet, dont really trust it! That special hammer is called a slide hammer....am i repeating myself? Sorry........its about 400 bucks. Actually, I think it might be closer to 450...I don't buy the supplies at the shop but I'm pretty sure its in the 450 range. I know for a fact that the hot glue gun kind is less than 300.

3 inches, I still would not use bondo. The only reason I would use bondo for anything is "rebuilding" the metal surface. Ummm, I would try the 30 dollar dent popper thing first. It just might do the trick? Not promising you anything...just saying its worth a shot.

You are now But, if that was in reference to my post, I was merely backing you up/reinforcing what you were saying and providing some pics

Actually, it's a guy that is very close to my house! His business is "Specialties by Chuck". He is most definitely not the cheapest place around but he does quality work. If you noticed the picture of one of his helpers sanding the UNDERSIDE of my hood and how much time they spent doing just the underside, you can see they don't cut many corners Here is the picture I'm talking about if you didn't notice... not sure even I'd spend this much time on the underside. hahahaha
