Finally Took Newer Pics of the '96 SS
It's been a while since I had taken any pics of my 1996 SS. And these are in the sun instead of on a cloudy day like the old ones.
Pics in sig. Scroll down towards bottom of 'SS Pics' for the newer shots.
Enjoy,

Thanks for the compliments, guys. If you couldn't tell, yes, those pics were taken directly after washing her. I just put another coat of wax on and man o man does she look good now! Just wish these dang storms would stop so I could drive her more often.

Very cool.
You have the car I wish I would have held out for, I rather settled on a Zed when I was unable to find a SS in my area.
Now there are tons.

I like the "SS" on the front bumper, it's a nice touch.
Once I get time I need to snap new pictures of my 96 SS. Both the inside and out have some new things.

First off, incredible looking car, looks real nice. Second, is that rear Berger panel done in gloss black? I didnt think it would look decent on my car, but the gloss looks fitting. Also what color inserts are those? Light silver?
Great looking car

Yes, that's gloss black. I also have the original red one done up with all the same inserts and slp logo, etc. The inserts are indeed silver. I think the gloss black looks superior to the regular flat black. The paint on the car is nearly flawless and shines like it's new...so I think that the gloss black goes really well with the overall look of the car.

What process did you use on the panel? Did you just strip it and spray or what? Also what type/brand of paint did you use? I was just thinking yesterday about doing a Berger look, but wondered if gloss would look better than the flat black on my car. Sure enough, it looks sweet on yours, so I might do it.

Dustin,
I don't know what the process was since I bought the car this way and the guy gave me the original piece. I am sure he had it professionally done, that's just how he did it with this car when it was his, but it shouldn't be too bad to do it yourself.
I would recommend picking up a spare panel from a parts car and then strip and paint it yourself. That way if you mess it up you don't have any down time with your ride and it doesn't jack up your original panel any either. I would definitely strip it before painting...and of course I would say go with the gloss black...it looks killer, man.
\Sorry I couldn't help any more than that. There are guys on here that have done it themselves, just search it out or post a new topic.
