FINALLY got my body kit installed!!! Take a look....

after having the kit sitting in my garage for 3 weeks, after having it prepped and painted for 2 weeks..... my kit is FINALLY on!!!

i love the way it looks. really wasnt bad at all to put on. took my dad and i about 2 hours.

this is the first time i have actually posted with pics of my car... its not like you guys havent seen a black Z with a wings west body kit before!! but im pretty excited! there are no pictures of the front because the front hasnt been installed yet. my painter missed a spot, so he still has the front and i should have it back soon. but take a look.... let me know what you think!

now all you need is a sweet set of 18 or 19 inch wheels!

better extend those exhuast tips too before they melt the rear skirt! that would be a bummer.

Well..

It's missin the best piece ! ! The front !

But it looks good so far... you will definately need larger wheels to compliment the ground FX.

That looks sweet. I really enjoyed the pics because I have a Black Camaro and I have the wings west kit at my house along with a VFN cowl induction hood that I havn't installed yet. Seeing your Z makes me happy I bought the kit.

I would have it installed by now but I'm currently talking to a member of this board who's selling his chrome ZR1's so the installtion of the GFX and hood might be put on hold. Let us know when the front is installed!

Very Nice. I definitely agree...hook it up with some rims.

That body kit has always been my favorite above pretty much all of the others. How did you install them yourself? And how much did you pay for the painting? And was the installation difficult...I might have to try to pick up my own. I always thought you would have to install them first before painting, so it's interesting how you did it.

Best of luck with it.

hey guys thanks for all the responses!! yeah i really like the way it came out! ive been wanting to put a kit on my camaro for like 2 years now!! cant wait till i get the front on! the front and rear is my favorite part!

as for everyone saying to get some rims... I WISH!! for some reason i just cant see spending the money! i cant get 16's... so i would have to go bigger, and get all new tires! for $1,000 i would rather do headers and cam!! but i would LOVE some Y2k vette rims!

i happened to find a guy who does auto body repair as a side job. one day he came to the house to do some kitchen repairs and he saw the kit sitting in the box in the garage!! he was a cool guy and only charged me $290 for the job. that was all paint supplies and labor. we matched the paintcode, and he did a good paint job, and sprayed 3 layers of clear over the paint. it blends in with the car pretty well!

as far as installing the kit..... EASY!! all you need is two people. held the parts in place, drilled the holes, backed the kit off the car, and began to pull the tape off slowly and press the kit to the car. hopefully it holds up!

thanks again for all the comments!!

Very nice! Too bad you can't get the wheels though. Oh man, they look so good on a black Z with a bodykit too! Check out the "Old 95 Z28" section on my site for pics.
