filling in licence plate holes

filling in licence plate holes

I want to fill in the holes on the front grill of my '99 Z28. Brent Franker had a article on his install fix it page about doing so with super glue and sand paper. The problem is that the install fix it page no longer works and I was trying to remember what grit sandpaper I need. Does anybody thats ever do this remember?

I would imagine your usual progression of sandpaper grits would work. Start with something coarse like 120 to knock it down even, then 400 to smooth it out, then 800 to really smooth it out, then ~1500-2000 to pull the fine sanding scratches.
