nobody likes cockiness. i can venture a guess at your physical size though...its usually the smaller guys that feel like real bad@$$es with comments like "well I have 3 cars" and "Ill let cha slide"

how about you pack up your brash attitude and move along...nobody appreciates a smug jerkoff like yourself

Alright... I'd like to thank you all for having we WASTE the last 10 minutes of my time editing all these stinkin threads. I should have just deleted this entire topic. I'm somewhat ashamed that you senior members who know better are behaving so poorly and over-riding the language filter. Come on guys... use your damn head... if you have to change the characters and put spaces in your words to make them spell out what you are intending, don't you think that is a huge clue that we DO NOT WANT IT HERE???? This is a family board and if the administrators wanted those words visible like that they wouldn't turn on the langauge filter. Is that so hard to understand??? PLEASE help me out here and don't waste my time by purposely over-riding the language filter and knowingly breaking the rules.

Also, the flaming needs to STOP. I don't care who got the last word in, blah, blah, please stop or I'll just close this.

looks like the headliner came out pretty good, as for cf, like you said, it really all depends on how the car is done overall, you can make it match, or you can make it look bad, if you already have some of the other pieces in a similar color then it's probably going to look good.

lighting wise I'm a big fan of the glow from lighting, I don't like to see the bulbs though, if you mount the lights back and then have the glow from them go through a slot it'll be ****, otherwise it just seems cheap to me, screens are a personal preference, not my cup of tea, but if they're molded into the headliner it'll look the best

maybe a back lit camaro or chevy emblem on the headliner?

The backlight bowtie was the first idea for lighting that came up after the resin dried. Yea I think it would have to be done tastefully, I cant stand to see bulbs either. The trick is to make an embossed bowtie, then leave maybe 1/16 inch gap to let the light shine through. I'll make a few duplicates of the headliner while the mold is still holding up, that way i can try different stuff on each. Plus those I'll probably give away to some 3rd gen owners, the carbon fiber will be a task in itself. It's not easy to work with and I have to get the right resin/hardener ratio. But it will be done, So far I've wasted about 10 yards of C/F making interior parts, but try and try again. It's getting better with every attempt though.

FlippinZ28: If I have a OEM mold I can prpobably make any headliner out of fiberglass, but let me get this perfected because this is my first attempt at doing this. It's coming out better than expected though.

Somnambulist: You gets no more of my attention, so keep on talkin!!! (busta!!)

Brent: I'm really sorry about that, I need to control my temper, but as you probably read, I wont be entertaining the flamers anymore. On this thread or any other (promise!!!). Your right, this is a family board and really if they dont say it in my face then hey.... it dont matter. So all beef with knuckleheads ends here. I love camaros more than arguing.

Thanks, guys, for keeping this on the level so far today. What you have done stangkilla with the headliner is very cool... doesn't matter if I like it or not (but I think I will), what is cool is the custom work done and you sharing the pics. That's why I took the time to edit the threads rather than just delete this.

Anyway, thanks to all for not continuing the flame fest

They dont black and white yet. closest thing is Silver (hexel), but here's the list of different colors of CF I found.

black, silver, gold, orange, blue, red, green, yellow

My roll of silver has'nt come in yet and I hope it's a good quality twill and easy to work with.

I know dat's right dawg! Thug life up in dis piece! I just don't give a f***!

Anyway, I know I have to say something about the headliner. Post some pics of what it's going to look like when it's done. And body color would be better than blue carbon fiber.

I haven't seen any price guess on it, what type of price range are you thinking? I know it would be a rough estimate but i'd like to know atleast near what your thinking.

I already have some black c/f stuff, i'd like to see the final product i think it would go good with my other stuff. I think it's a good idea!!

thanks

Actually the price is going to be very cheap for CZ28.com members. I mean really low!!!!!!!! It does'nt cost much to make and I can make about three or four a day. If i sell these, it'll be the carbon fiber overlays that will be for sale. I'll post up the full instructions for how to make the fiberglass headliners on my 2000 camaro page. That way I'll be giving all my homies here the DIY instructions, or...... I'll go buy all OEM headliners (3rg gen hardtop & t-top, 4th gen's too) Plus If I find other OEM's like Chevy trucks (1500's, Silverado's, etc...) I'll make those too.

I really do this for CZ28.com and all the camaro lovers (not the wanna be's) so I have no problem showing how I do do mods or anything camaro related. But I am a business man at heart and money rules my world, so the C/F will be what I'll be charging for.

I'm going to the shop to buy some more fiberglass and mat in a few minutes, plus check on my wrecked 2000 camaro (long story, but I might be coming out with a LS1 motor because of the dealer F' up. they sold me my car without telling me it had EXTENSIVE frame damage.) Now thats ironic!!! Yall cross ya fingers for me cause if I get the LS1 in my car, I'll be the happiest person in the south. And will be looking for all SVT's lol!!!! I'll be right back

Westside San Mateo county in this thang!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL LOL Boy I miss cali so much it hurts. GA's cool though but Cali is well..... Cali and there are no flip girls down here. More like F.O.B's (remember that word lol) Before I left I was about to blow up in the underground world (cali has two worlds, but you already know that). But like I said I was so into everything illegal i might not have survived to reep the benefits. I owned a black vert mustang GT when i turned 14 (in my name), and was about to be given more. yea GIVEN!!! But gang bangin+street racing+chop shops= short life span, lol!!!
