I think it would be alot better if it was painted the same color as the outside of the car. Blue carbon Fiber just dont sound that cool to me.

 

It'll go with the rest of the Candy blue thats in there already, but I could go silver (hexel). I'm saving the silver for my 2000 camaro and running with blue in my 86. I have seen some blue C/F that looked real nice in some imports, but it's the way you match it with eveything else.

Like I said before, I uploaded a few more pics of the headliner off of the mold and ready for another coat on the other side to stregthen it. Then I will be painting it. My first roll of black carbon came in today and the blue should be here in a day or two. I still dont know which resin I'm using this time but it wont be poly. I'll keep this thread open until I'm fully finished with it, but the haters are gettin on my last nerve. Broke, alone with no mods!!!!!

But Paul, ya did'nt say if this was a good idea or not (headliner). I know you would'nt need to do any headliner work, being that your verted out (lucky dog), but I need opinions from the real CZ28.com members (like you and the rest of the crew) not these haters. It's funny, I'm lettin these lightweights get to me, cause I cant get to them (ya see where I'm comin from). Cant we all get along lol!!

 

You would have been better off posting the "finished pics" instead of a progress thread, IMO.

 

Yea your probably right, I dont think most people can appreciate the work until it's finally finished. Good thing is that it will be finished fairly soon. It'll be painted in about a day or two (it's raining here so drying time is doubled now).

But you see how people act in the boards these days? How did my progress on a new mod turn into a flame war? I notice ALL of my threads get new haters everytime, I think it's personal!!!

And if you are thinking of pulling the "website" makes the guy BS... I know more oldtime hot-rodders that don't know squat about computers, let alone a webpage that could out build anything you could fathom of creating yourself....

Ok (without being rude), yea 400 posts but I've been here since 1998. Your right, Most of the gearheads I know cant even boot a pc, but they can build you a 12 sec car (all motor) with no instructions.

I did see your post and thanks for the vote, thats why I did'nt say anything smart to you. I only go after the haters. But I cant stand people that come to my threads talkin trash and did'nt even give an opinion on the MOD!!

And yes I am very cocky!!! When I race, when I rap, when I do pretty much anything but........ I am a humble person. I wont say anything or do anything "bad" until provoked. You see, I live in SW Atlanta where it really is "dodge city". If you aint real or cant back up your talk. You will get shot or worse. This is'nt as bad as when i lived in cali but you cant be a fake person round here. And if someone talk s*** to me in my face, I deal with it. Thas why I go overboard on these fools online, they wont say it in my face. Plus they dont come from where I do, or have had to do some of the highly illegal stuff I have. Hell, i was a KCG crip at 12 years old!!! now I'm a different person, but these guys know absolutely nothing about nothing. (just an insight into my world). I'm black with gold teeth and tatoos' but i dont let that fact be known because of some of the stereotypes I see on these boards daily. I break stereotypes in half. I have to be cocky, but I'm one of the coolest, most down to earth people I know. So from now on I'll just let the haters talk and keep doing my thing. That'll be the "player" thing to do.

Thanks, i credit my mom for moving me when I was alot younger. If I was still in Cali I might not be here period, no one in Cali cares if they live or die and I felt the same way for a very long time. When I got to GA I still had that mentality and got into some serious trouble the first six months of living here (I was looking at 10 years MANDATORY, with no parole). The only thing saved me was the witness's did'nt show up (cant tell ya why) and it made me look at what I really want outta life. My main love has been camaros, street racing and women (in that order lol) and now I gotta family and daughter etc...

It seems so long ago, but as you can tell, I still got it in me. So I do put give of the "spoiled" members a reality check when they come at me like that. If ya notice in all of my threads I post up good subjects or DYI installs, but then come the haters that dont even comment on the thread subject, just like to "act" bad. So like I said i will no longer get down on their level. I started this particular thread becasue i thought I was the first person to try a fiberglass T-top headliner and wanted to show it off a lil.

I actually was one of the many people that started all this import street racing in northern Cali in 1990, but soon as I say that, here come the haters!!!

Anyways back to the subject at hand (I really dont like to dwell in the past, 2 many bad memories). What are some ideas that you guys would you do to the headliner? Since it's glass and stable the possibilites are endless, I'm going to mount some Tv's up top and a 5.6 in the center but I want to go a lil farther than that. Maybe add some blue Led's that I saw on ebay and add like "track" lighting to give the inside a different feel.
