Fading black headliner?

Fading black headliner?
I have a 2002 Z28 w/ t-tops, which are in the trunk probably 320 days a year. New headliners fade around the t-top openings very quickly.
Does anyone one know of a premium fade-resistant headliner material?
Has anyone successfully painted or dyed faded areas on a headliner?

Re: Fading black headliner?
Last spring I hand-painted the faded chartreuse areas of my black headliner with flat-black acrylic craft paint. The paint was like thick gravy out of the squeeze bottle, I thinned it to about maple-syrup, i.e., just enough water so it didn't sit on top of the fabric, but settled in. That was about 10 months ago, and it's worked well: no sagging, no fading, and I'm probably the only person who knows it was touched up all around the t-top panel perimeters.
