Estimated cost for painting rear quarters, & color match questions!

In getting ready for 335 rear tires, I've flared the rear fenders.

Any estimates on how much a shop would charge to paint both rear quarters? Just a guess, I know because of different regions prices will vary.

Also how close do you guys think the color can be? It's a 94, stock paint. Also I can't let them blend past the quarters. 1. to save money, 2, because I don't want them going into the doors because of the vinyl numbers, and class letters. Stuffs to expensive to buy it again.....

Thanks folks

Make sure you use a reputable shop.Ask them to look at their variance decks(for your paint code)make sure you look at this deck in the sun(you can only match in sunlight-artifical light will not yeild a correct match)Some colors are "chipped"up to 7 or 8 different shades of the same color,so take your time and get the shops input. They should be able to get it dead on,depending on the amount of fade to the rest of the car.In all you get what you pay for in the automotive paint industry, trust me I see this everyday(so dont look for the cheapest shop)make sure you use a good quality paint(base coat/clear)is most popular and lasts the longest

If you want the color to match, then they HAVE to blend, there's no way to just paint 1 panel and have it match, unless the car is DIRECTLY from the factory and brand new.

Cost wise.. for clean-up, R&I, and everything else, probably $750-$1500.

If you only have them paint the rear of the car and not blend it, you WILL regret it. Especially on 10 year old paint.

Depends on what color it is. If it's a solid color you'll have a better chance of it matching.
Metallic colors, as a rule will match better without blanding the darker the color. For instance a silver or light blue has little to no chance compared to navy blue metallic.

I guess it will depend on where you go and where you live. Around here painting the rear quarters would cost around $400 for a pretty good job. Add another $100 to blend the rear bumper. Assuming the car is ready for paint after your flaring job and assuming there is no additional work you've created.
