Engine bay Clean up.... What to do...

I'm in the process of an !EGR and !AIR thing, so I've got that down. Was looking into braided fuel lines.

Coil pack relo? Any easy clean up mods? I've seen a couple threads about hiding the hood latch cable. I might have to run some lines through the fender?

Ideas?? Pics, too...

there is one tuturial, I cant find now, but the wires over the passenger side fender can be relocated by drilling 1 inch circles, and sandwiching it in the fender well, walah, they dissappear.

polish your alt., water pump, paint the intake, hide all wires, remove unused vac lines, braided fuel lines, remove all evap stuff, if you dont like your ac you can remove all of the lines to it

^ My AC is not working at the moment, but it does get wicked hot here in the summer, the sun is hot as h3ll.

It seems kind of overwhelming when I pop the hood w/ intentions to clean it up. I just don't know where to start.

I've heard that the FRC's can prevent needed cooling/air flow to the coils. But can it really be that bad?

FRC= fuel rail covers...if thats what your asking?

Lots of people are running them. every ltx-lsx vette is as well as gto's and multiple other cars. Heck these days most things come with full engine covers. I've never heard of them hurting anything but maybe i missed out on that one. I think they clean the engine bay up a whole lot. I didnt notice if you had a ls or lt1, but if i had an ls1 and was wanting to clean up the engine bay, i would dishout the money to get a nice polished/ceramic coated, or other intake and add some body color matching fuel rail covers as well as a nice looking lid.

EDIT:looked at your sig, your an ls1 kind of guy

Who's sig?

And I'm doin the whole Black and Red thing. I will get a set of FRC's when I get the $$. I have some bills I have to take care of first. Maybee in the next two months. (Dang electric company changing dates..$350 bill...uuugh.....)

Anyway. I'd like to do some chrome stuff. but again.. the $$$.... I hand polished my ac reciever/drier last time I was in there... minimal, but it's a step... I'll have to figure out some wire hiding stuff. I just bought a new cordless drill ($30/Wall Mart)

I dont think the frc will cause any heat issues. As for the wire hiding theres not too much that can be done you can do the wires on the passenger side and maby the wires going to the relay box but other than that the only thing i can think of is loom.

If the new LS can get away with THIS set up, I think you can throw some FRC's on your LS1 and be alright.

Oh, and it's completely covered underneath as well.

They're defeating the purpose of the hood.
