I was expecting to see a SS sell for like 2000$...

Sure, this car is pretty rare I guess.... nothing that really makes it better than the other SS' though. And 13 grand? lol...

Hell, if I had the coin for it, I'd have no problems whatsoever scooping a '97 30th anny SS vert with only 65k for only 6 grand. You said it, Whitefish, this is an absolute steal.

Unfortunately it's in Beaver Dam, WI. Probably buried under a ton of snow right now!!!

The bid was at 6 grand, but the reserve was not met. The buy it now was 13,000 lol... so the reserve had to have been at least 9 grand.

I saw one of those on the road this morning. I thought to myself, you don't see too many early 4th gens in silver.

I think he's talking about the convertible I posted yesterday in this topic. It looks like the owner is asked a fixed price of $6k, which is a pretty darn good deal for something so rare and unusual. For that matter, it's underpriced almost no matter what.

Many people would disagree w/ you.Just look at the prices being paid for the "old"60,s &70,s cars.IMHO the cars from the late 80,s& 90,s are easily the best buys esp. the ridiculous prices for 5th gen camaro ss,SRT8 challenger, etc. Those 4th gen. are close to the 5th Gen @ 1/4 the price

Most importantly, one of the 41 convertibles is for sale. I've requested a picture for my site without the nose and rear cut off. Exciting. This is the first one I've ever seen to my knowledge.

My '97 is just like this one. Sebring Silver convertible with stripe delete. 23K on the odometer. I'll post some pics tomorrow or Wednesday. This is the only other that I have seen!!

Is it an SS bh4mr1ck?

If so, please take a good one for use on my site if there haven't been any appearance modifications. Needs to be the front 3/4 like that pic, but without the nose and rearend cut off. That seller never emailed me back, so I didn't receive a pic.

I'd like a pic of one of the wheels too if your wheels are spotlessly clean and the original silver 16" ZR-1 style wheels. A pic like this 16 inch ZR-1 wheel used on the '01-'02 SLP RS Camaros (supposedly a different color of silver than the silver used on the '96-'97 SS convertible wheels):

It is an SS, all original, nothing added or removed. The wheels look just like that one. I'll get some pics and send them your way. PM me your email addy and I will send you the full res files.

I have been trying to find out just how rare my car is. I have been told its one of 28, but if you could confirm that would be helpful.

'97 SS Convert, Sebring Silver, M6

Thanks!

Re: ebay find of the week: extremely rare '97 sebring silver SS hardtop

If anybody ever needs to email me pics or anything, email me at brangeta (at) gmail (dot) com written in the proper format .

I've been working on my '96-'97 SS page of my site (don't have it visible to the public right now) the past week, so you'll know that # you want hopefully by the end of this week or next week when I've had time to finish the page .

I'm making the page really detailed since the '96-'97 SSes are probably the rarest and most potentially valuable of the 4th gens in the future, so the page is taking me a really long time. Lots and lots of production figures and I'm going to have to review a few old articles and press releases to write something interesting and factual.

Cool as heck. Can't wait to check my email and see those full size pics! Do you have the red and gray cloth interior as well?

If you need a proof reader you know I know a fair bit as well and I can try to look over my facts and verify what I can. I may be able to suggest additional content as well.

You know, funny that you mention that. I was planning on asking you if you could look through your paperwork collection and check something for me. Was the dual-dual exhaust used on the LT4 30th Anni SSes available on regular '97 SSes of any color? Or could you still only get the Two On The Left exhaust?

I'm kind of hoping you might have some sort of ordering guide or press release or something from SLP that might say.
