Post duster is leaving smears

My car looks a mess. I get it all looking great with the zaino...I drive to work were the dust covers the car in one hour....I dust the car....I now have smear marks all over. I'm tired of polishing just to have it look bad the next day. This is unavoidable where I work. So, is there something wrong with the duster? Can I wash it?

do you use the california duster? if so did you let it set on a sheet of newspaper for a day before you used it. the cloth has a lot of oil on it and you need to use the newspaper to soak up all the excess. if not its most likely the oil leaving streaks.

I dried my california duster out on newspaper and it still left smears all the time. So i washed it heavily with dawn. It works better than before, but it did take 3 days to air dry.

My duster left streaks too. I'll have to try washing it with dawn. Thanks for the tip
