Drooooopping IT!

Going to have my car dropped in a month or two,so i am going to get all the stuff necessary to have my mechanic do it.(The only person i trust working on my car, besides me) I need to know what i need,i think i need the following things....

(1) Lowering Springs
(2) LCA Relocation brackets
(3) Adj Panhard Rod
(4) New Shocks/struts

If there is something i missed or something that i don't need, let me know. Anything my mechanic needs to know to help him out? And please let me know what BRAND of parts you used. Thanks

About 1.5 inches, that is as low as i would be able to go without tearing the front off going up my driveway.

you wouldn't need anything besides shocks and springs really but besides some nice shocks you didn't forget anything that i can see.

Cool

whats up man, yeah looks like u have everything that u will need. u really only need the shocks and springs, but getting all that will be better. brand wise if u want awesome shocks, try the HAL 12 way adj. shocks. those are awesome, very pricey but well worth it. spring wise, alot of people are running the eibach prokit springs. those are about a 1.5 inch drop. also try the group purchase section here. eric @ DMS is running a discount on springs and from what i here his are awesome so u might wanna go that route. other than that, try BMR for you LCA's relocation brackets and adj. panhard rod. i have those too and they are awesome. they make quality parts at a very affordable price. hope that helps u out a little. lata man

I think the Sports kit is WAY low. That's why everyone uses the Pro kit. I can't even stick my fist vertically between my rear wheelwells & tires. I have about 2" of clearance in the front.

I have bilstien shock on. There are great but I am not lowered. I was looking for new shocks a while back and was thinking of lowering in the future. I saw many were running the eibach pro kit with bilstiens and most people loved it.

Cool

well technically u dont need them, but sometimes when u drop your car it could drop a little more on one side or vice versa, and if u have an adj. panhard rod u could adjust it to pull the other side back to center, at least that is what i have been told.

I'd like to suggest getting some bump steer for your tie rods. They make lots of difference in driving quality.

Does anyone know if this is entirely correct?

My Z sits a little higher on the driver's side and have been wondering why. I still have the stock panhard rod - will an adj. one level it out?

an adj phr will not make your car sit even on both sides. my car is lowered w/ h&r springs, slp take-off shocks, bmr adj phr and bolt in relocation brackets and it sits a little higher on the driver side. when you lower your car, the rear end will shift to the right b/c the stock phr is too long. w/ the adj phr, you will shorten the length of it making the rear end centered over the wheels. i think an adj phr is a must b/c i drove around for about 6 months w/o one and my rear end would sway on turns and the new phr tightened up my rear end a lot. people have mixed feeling about the relocation brackets, but i think they helped w/ my takeoff.

the LCA is an option, but you can go ahead and replace them while you are down there. As for tha adj panhard, you must have it b/c when you lower your car, the rear end will move either left or right and you need the adj panhard to move it back to center.

when i put my drop springs on, i imediately noticed a difference in my launch. it sucked. i know that new lca's and brackets will solve the problem along with ph rod and torque control arm.
