DOH. Lost the metal clip in door switch trim

was putting in new speakers and i misplaced a little metal clip which hold the door switch trim to the handle bezel. I need both because one isn't holding it in. The clip feel out becuase it the plastic around it was already cracked a bit.

Are these a part I can find at an auto store or am i going to have to buy a new door switch trim. I doubt if i'll be able to fabricate something that will work.

And i won't glue it in either...

If you were to buy from GM, they would probably tell you that you ned a whole door switch unit (I have ordered them before and they come on them already).

BUT, you should be able to get them at the parts store, or Lowe's. Lowe's has an Automotive Style fasteners bin in their hardware department, and it seems like I have seen them in there. About the same goes for Advance and AutoZone.

i had to buy all new ones... the new clips just wouldn't stay in because my plastic was cracked, so I was crazy gluing the clip to the plastic but that only lasted until the next time I needed to pop the switch plate off (I think I have taken it off over 50 times already...)

You can purchase just the clips at GM. They were a couple bucks for a half dozen, I think. With the plastic broken, a new clip probably won't do the trick.

I too had to replace the switch panel. It was only about $5-10 I think, and the dealer gave me about 5 clips.
