Does anyone make clear T-Tops?
I'm still considering a T-Top conversion. I know someone sells kits and I know someone's selling a kit in the for sale forum right now. I won't fool with it until late next spring as I can't justify spending any more money on the car right now. I would definitely do a T-top conversion if I knew you could at least get them almost clear....maybe a very very light tint. That way they could be enjoyed even when it's too cold or hot to have them off. I'll let the A/C and/or heater take care of my comfort level....shoot I want to be able to see through those things!

Hey Charlie...my t-tops came with a very very light tint on them. You could see through with no problems. I had them tinted and wanted them tinted at the same % as the rest of the windows (20%). The tint guy told me he would not tint them darker than 35% because they were made of 2 panes and if he tinted them darker, the heat could get trapped and cause the glass to break.
Anyway...I'll be at the track Thursday if you want to check out how dark my t-tops are...I don't ever have trouble seeing through them and the tint keeps it a little cooler during the summer...I sold my shades shortly after I got the car
Later.

My t-tops would've broken a long time ago, since I have my sunshades in whenever the tops are on. And with the shades, the heat and light would be blocked much better than with tint.

Clear T-tops
THey would Fry you alive. The factory tint is good. Just stay away from those 93' honey combs and those 94 spectuled tinted tops and you'll be fine.
I dont believe that cracking idea. I know when me and one of my buddies tried to break a 3rd gen T-top with a tire Iron it held up.
(no we didn't waste a t-top, it was stuck in a crashed car at the junk yard)
