Question do I need this piece for conversion??

I'm doing a 98 front end on my 95 Z. So far I've scrounged up both fenders, bumper cover, passenger headlight, and turn signals. I found this piece called a bumper reinforcement. The picture shows a black curved piece of foam on the front and a metal bracket attached to the back of it. So I was just wondering if I need that piece. Also, I saw a post that Reznor did with a picture of something between the headlights that he said he had to get for the conversion. It looks like it is a piece that adjusts the hood stop height. Does anyone know the technical name for that piece or if I even have to have it? Thanks a lot for any help on this post.

Yes, you have to have it. Both pieces. And many more. You will also need new hood hinges, struts, and various other mounting hardware pieces that are needed for the new bumper cover. I will be doing a webpage in a few weeks listing all the parts needed along with their GM part numbers for anyone that is interested. You can read more about this swap here.
