do 3rd gen calipers LOOK like 4th gen calipers

My brother wants front caliper decals, so I'm going to get them for him for his birthday. But these say they are for a 4th gen, will they work on front 3rd gen calipers? I cant remember what the calipers look like.

Pic is of 4th gen caliper with decal

No. Unless it is a 1LE thirdgen then the front brake calipers are tiny little one piston iron calipers.

it is not a 1LE, just a 1991 RS. I use to own it, then I sold it to him.

The calipers are just the one piston. I guess they dont have to look like a 4th gen caliper, just be able to work with that sticker.

Take some measurements and talk to Brent. I'm sure he can work something out.

It doesn't look like theres even room for a decal on there. It MAY be around the same size as a rear caliper of a 4th gen.

^^^
Pretty much. For a while I had my 98-02 F-body brakes on the rear with the stock 91 brakes on the front before I had my C5 brakes. The 98-02s were probably about the same size, maybe a little bigger. But the rotor definitely was at 12" vs 10.5". It didn't look THAT bad though, since I'm running 18s in the back and 17s up front it was kind of an optical illusion thing. I doubt a sticker would fit on a stock caliper, that thing is TINY.

I'm telling you man, it ain't gonna happen. Look at these pics and keep in mind aside from the materials its made from that C5 calipers are the same as 98-02s. So they are the same size:

I don't see any way in hell even a chopped sticker would fit on a stock 91 caliper.

Caliper is roughly the same size, just built stronger and powdercoated. They won't spread like the Fbody ones during a roadrace. The C5 setup has 13" rotors instead of 12" though.

Look at that first pic I posted. If he were to make a sticker able to fit on that thin little piece of metal I'm sure it would be too small to read unless you were changing the tire. Looks like it would have be less than 1" tall.

I was thinking about putting the decal on the other "ridge"

may want to get a radius measurement from the center of the hub to the decal location that way you get the correct arc.
