www.VFNfiberglass.com

Their SS hoods have the 3" cowl looks a lot like the ZL1 hood.

Yeah I know I saw him the other month and he said that they had bought the hood from a vendor, I just didnt bother asking because I figured I was just going to go with a regular 3 inch cowl but I NEED it to butt right up against the lexan. I also thought that the motor was an ls2? I might be mistaken but I could have heard him say that they are going off of a ls2 motor and twin t-100 (I think, that or maybe 80s). Where'd you get your info cause I forget .

And then there's this hood, which in my opinion is the sexiest LT1-style hood.

You're probably the only one that thinks that about that hood.

Re: Different Hoods for an LT1

Guess I don't have to worry about being a clone of all the other SS / Cowl hood Camaros then.

Nope but i guess you'll be a clone of all the guys with that hood. I'd say for the best one off hood you'd have to do the L-88 hood scoop. I've only seen 3 cars on the net with it. 2 LS1's and 1 LT1. The LT1 wasn't even painted so i guess a guy could be the first to get it done and painted on his LT1 car.

Yeah but it's far more common to see the SS hood, no ground effects, chrome wheeled, plain and boring Camaro than it is to see one like mine when it's all done.

Re: Different Hoods for an LT1

Nah, i don't care for that hood much. I had a friend who had that hood, only his was a bit taller. I didn't like it. The ss hood is to common, i do like the hood with the two nostrols in front, i think thats the ultra z? but i want it with the two nostrols like the TA.

Is it expensive to have a custom hood made?

Re: Different Hoods for an LT1

It's a personal opinion but I think the Firebird hood (nostrils) on a Camaro is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Go with the Ultra-Z over that.

It looks like the nostrils of a bird and fits the LT1 Trans-Am's beak styling.

Re: Different Hoods for an LT1

haha Yeah, i do hear that alot. But i want something that is more muscle then the ss hood, or stock. To me, those make the front of the camaro look like a triangle going to a point.
