Driving lights are a long, narrow, higher leveled beam.
Fog lights are a short, wide, lower leveled beam.

Driving lights should NOT be used all the time. They should be aimed higher to illuminate the road in the distance, and will blind other drivers. Use them as you would use your high beams.

Fog lights can be used all the time. They are aimed lower than your headlights, and are made to help illuminate a larger width of road -particularly helpful in fog conditions. You could use them any time you like.

Either way you go, make sure you properly aim your lights. Improperly aimed driving and fog lights can be painful and even dangerous to other drivers.

Also usually the fog light wor with your parking lights and low beam, but not the high beam and driving lights only work with the high beam.

All this time I thought they were basicly the same thing.
Arn't those the lights that came optional on our Camaro's that are located in the grille sides of our 93 - 97's and below the turnsignals on our 98 + models?...
