Honestly it wasnt that difficult to align. I put the hood on, then aligned the
fenders to the hood. Then when I put the nose on, I had to lower the hood
to sit flush with the nose, and then lower the fenders to match the hood. It
sounds like a lot of work, but the hardest part is opening the closing the hood
each time you want to move the fender.

New brackets ordered from GM. These are the ones that the guy forgot to pull off for me :

That big gray piece holds the nose on, make sure you get that too!

Got the silver fender on :

Got the gold fender on, but there was a problem .....

Looks like its part number "56" on the exploded view posted on the tutorial
thread. Picture "frontconversion13.jpg". FYI, the GM dealer had a totally
different exploded view with different find numbers.

Good work. As far as P/N's. Check my stickey in the LSx Tech room. I ahve a couple of inks in there for a page w/ a LOT of P/N's in there. It's a bumper support, btw.

You mean the front turn signals? They are the same ones, the molded in part
numnner & DOT number both say "93" on the 98 ones I got. I didnt bother to
pull them and just used them as is. I did notice that the light plug was VERY
hard to twist into the 98, I started to think they were different, but then it
finally twisted in and all was good.

Getting ready to this conversion and the only bumper support I can find shows it as being the same on the 93-02 cars. Is there a different bumper support used on the 98-02 or will the one I have on my 95 work?

Just want to clarify before I get stuck in the middle of doing it

LOL! I don't know if you meant that to be funny, but I just laughed out loud when I read that. Good stuff!

well the bumper pad helps keep the front end shape.

Downgrade imo but if you couldn't get a LT1 front end then I understand.

To each their own, I never liked the Raccoon front end, too pointy and out
of balance with the rear. Raising the front end lines seriously helped the side
view. Personally I would rather had seen single headlights, to go more toward
the 70 Camaro, but its all good.
