Custom seats - Seating height

I used to have a 1995 Camaro Z28 and in that car the seats were really low to the floor.

When I got my 2002 Camaro Z28 I was surprised at how much higher the seating position was compared to my 1995. I am a pretty tall/big guy and my head sits high enough that the top bar across the windshield actually obstructs my view (I have to bend down to see street lights). This is really annoying.

Has anyone heard of any aftermarket seats or seat mounts or anything that sit lower to the floor than the stock ones?

Was your 95 a manual seat? Is the new one power?
I recently installed Jegs GS1 seat (its a cheap, comfy race type seat....200 bucks) and I had to do a custom install. Power seat bracket put my head out the Ttop so I cut the mounting pads off the power adjuster and welded them to the sliders that come with the seat. It worked great. I can see and have some for and aft adjustability.
You may have to bite the bullet and custom build you a seat bracket.
It sounds intimidating but its not bad at all if you can measure and have a friend that can weld like I do.

You called it right, the 95 had manual seats and the 02 has power. I wonder if I could go and get a manual seat mount out of a 95 and if that would be lower to the floor.

I beleive you could use the manual adjuster from any 93 to 02 Camaro or Firebird the 4th gen had the same floor pan the whole production run.
Just locate a manual adjuster and you should be good to go.
