I bought a et of these elite series valve covers off Ebay becuse I loved the style of them and when I got them tey looked great... however I don't really have anything chrome or polished under the hood like these are...



So I went to work sanding, painting, masking, painting, etc.... here's the final result.



Most of it was pretty easy (I'm not new to painting) but the logo I had to paint by hand.



I still need to clear coat and wet sand but They should be a nice touch when done.

 

Those look sweet. I want to do some stuff like that on mine

 

Will those clear the alternator?

 

Not without some grinding to the back of the alternator or re-locating it altogether (haven't decided which route I'm going to go yet.)

 

I put a smaller alt on my car from a buddy that would allow those to fit. All I had to do was make a couple little brackets that would allow it to mount to the factory bracket.

 

Do you know what brand or a part# for this "smaller" alternator?
