Custom LED clear tails... Pics are up everyone...

Well, I've finally got a few pics posted of this project that I've been working on for way too long...

For gen 1 I think they turned out fairly well, they are an improvement over the APC regular bulbs that I had in there before, although they're still a little dim during the daytime... let's just say that gen 2 is now being crunched on in my head

The sequencers are not yet installed, for a screwup on my behalf when I made the circuitboards, let's just say that I made them... uhm... upside-down.

Check out page 6 of my cardomain page (Website Red Button Below)

Gen II... hmm.. let's just say that these bulbs consist of 108 Red LED's (2200mcd) and 6 Blue LEDs... Well, I've found some 3500mcd Reds that still have a good viewable angle... and I think I'm going to atleast double... hmm... maybe triple the qty of LEDs... you'll have to wait for that.... gotta find a job first.. now that I finally finished college....

Well, the blue LEDs are seperately controlled. That is jsut with them turned on, with just the Red ones on... they are RED.. and I mean Reder than any typical tail light on the street.

Sweet car man, Ive looked at your site before but just the first page. I just looked at everything and I gotta say your car is a very nice setup. It might have been written somewhere but I didnt see it, where does your exhaust exit? I see your X-pipe setup and it looks like they exit out the side, is that a correct guess?

How did you get clear light housings?
Buy them or make them?
If you made them, how about some details?

uhm... look through the rest of the website....

I'll see what I can do for just red pics... I'll have to shoot some but that shouldn't be too much of a problem if the weahter stops raining...

Cops... well, let's just say I don't necessiarly drive around with them turned on... and in the 2+ years I've had my hood lit up... I haven't even had a cop mention it... plus there's tons of older cars around with the real "blue dots" so.. .they can't say too much.. .especially because I can get rid of mine in the flick of a switch...

Okay.
Cool!
"I see" said the blind man...

To bad, I was hoping it was something I could do to my Camaro.
Bummer.
Nice mod man!

I was thinking about drilling a series of holes in the back reflectors of the taillights on my Camaro and use white LED's. I was thinking that this would help space the LED's out over the reflector and creat more diffusion through the lens and on the reflector. Does anyone have any idea's or suggestions?
