Custom HVAC and light panel overlays
I need some help here. I am trying to get my hands on some white faced HVAC and headlight panel overlays. The twist is I want flames on them to match my flameball and RK Sport flame gauges. I have no talent and can't design anything in ANY program. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I also want them to last for a while. I don't mind spending money on good quality products. Thanks y'all. I appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks. I saw that. I actually have a template posted ages ago that I can't find anywhere anymore. The only things I am wondering is how long will they last before fading, do I laminate them? Stuff like that. I want them to look good.

Hey guys! I am looking to do my own guages and hvac/light controls overlays too, and was wondering what you do to have the light shine thru at a decent brightness. Or are the stock bulbs bright enough. I would like to change to red, but not too sure what design I will end up with. Anyone done this? The page above with the link to the splash sunset guages is cool, but they seem brighter than ours. Thanks!
I did this about 2 weeks ago. I went to the site that is linked above. I downloaded the Fire on black background ones from Bfranker's templates. Then I printed them out on the best quality setting on my printer with glossy photo paper. I went to home depot, Bought laminating sheets. Those are the ones that come with sticky 3m stuff on the back. you get 10 sheets for like 5 or 6 bucks. laminate them on the front side only, then just position just right. Believe it or not without doing anything else the light shines through enough to see them. it just looks like they are on a dim setting. So far they look great. and no fading yet. but even if they do, just print out some more. It will cost you just a little time once you have done one, and a few cents worth of ink.
I also used one of those hobby knives for precision cutting. It was like 97 cents. If you want the detailed instructions and the print size just email me

That sounds like a plan. I'll be emailing you in a bit. I am also tossing around the idea of purchasing overlays from the MBA website. They are EXPENSIVE but nice!! They have a clear annodized finish. You can buy metal ***** too. Looks awesome, just pricy. For the time being I might as well use my flame overlays. Thanks again.
