Wink Custom Hood Scoops

So uh, anyone ever done this with their stock hoods?

http://www.angelfire.com/trek/brl866s/camaro.html

the last few pics anyway. some custom scoops i did on my last camaro....(not my new one)

I was wondering if anyone has made these actually functional or not. if so then i would like to know how. i am thinking about doing this for my new 95 black z28. Haven't decided yet. And yes i am new to this board so bear with me....

oh and btw, i have not updated my website for a very..long...time.

Are those sold as scoops for a Camaro or did you just make them up out of something?

Brent94Z: i...."invented" them...i took an extra set of the inserts, flipped em upside down and use doublesided tape to put em on...lol.

But seriously, does anyone got any ideas on how someone might do a forced induction through them?

You might be able to do some type of forced induction for cooling of the engine compartment but to integrate that to be used for the actual air intake I don't think it would be worth it and most likely would not work as well as a good cold air induction.

I agree. If I am going to do some sort of air induction, it certainly ain't gonna be through those two little slots. I just don't think it would be worth the time or effort. But like Brent said, it might be a good idea if it helps keep the engine area a little cooler.
