Looks like it came out good but I don't like the location. Its too low down, why didn't you get a flip out screen?

How are you supposed to view it at a car show with your shifter in the way?? Just a thought.

I think the bigger symbolism here is that somebody is doing something more than:

A. Upgrading to a 97+ dash
B. Painting their dash

This is probably the first thing I've seen where there's any "custom" work done. The f-body dash sucks compared to other cars like the vette (C4 or C5, if you ask me).

Let's see some dash designs. Anything. Just something that could improve over the F-body dash. Ignore HVAC venting... imagine you've got a bare firewall, and all you have to work around is the steering wheel and the location of the shifter.

Ideas???

The only part of the 97 dash that I like vs the 96 is the passenger air bag. Looks a little nicer. Other than that, I like 96 much better.

Sure, if you like drinks spilling into your shifter from the (single) crappy cupholder (console), two different colors on your dash and some cheap plastic with no padding at all that squeaks like crazy.

Oh plus the new one has much bigger AC vents in the center. I'm really glad I have my 98 now. I had three 95 Camaros and the 97+ dash and console are MUCH improved. If you actually tried both cars for a while you'd know.

I have a 97+ console in my car. Definite improvement. I only wish that the newer dash kept the cockpit feel of the 93-96 dash.

Transplanting a C5 dash... now THAT would be an improvement.
