has anyone actully seen any performance difference in the 1/4 with a cowl hood?

I don't you'll see any performance gains from a cowl induction hood. My fiberglass cowl hood is a ton lighter than the stocker. You'll also notice a lot of heat exits from the cowl after installed.

A cowl hood will help expedite some heat from the engine, but it was initially made for carbed hot rods that produces real heat...
