The cost of painting on stripes?

I got a 98 black firebird and.... Well I'm thinkin' about gettin' some stripes painted on my car, and I was wondering if anyone knows the average cost for this? Or if anyone else has had it done how much and how long does it take?

I was quoted $750.00 for one wide stripe, nose to tail, on my 97 SS.

Thank you for that info, cuz one wide stripe right down the middle is exactly what I want......so the price really shouldn't differ a whole lot.

i jus started doin bodywork at a local shop and i kno that 1 large stripe can range from $500-1500 depending on detail and paint and the person doing it. If you get an 1/8" stripe around the large one that looks amazingly good IMO its around $750 + tax with PPG paint. Gotta remember paint isnt cheap to buy #1 and it also depends on color also. House of Kolor paints will run you alot more. PPG is what we use at the shop and its a very nice paint. I hope this can answer a few questions
