Corvette Fender Stripes?

I was just wondering what these stripes mean if anything and what you think it would look like on my 95Z(Pic in Sig.)

They're just the fender stripes like what the Grand Sport 'vette had. I think they look tacky on all F-bodies.

They were put on the Grand Sport Vette's and they also signify that the car has the LT4 engine. So if you've done the LT4 upgrade you could claim they're justified. Or you could do it just because you like them!!!

They did not signify the LT4. Collector Edition Corvettes in 1996 all had the LT4 and did not have hashmarks. The LT4 was an option on other Corvettes in 1996, none of which had hashmarks.

Here's the hashmark significance.

While we're at it . . . hashmarks have been put on the new special edition Z06.

The marks are on both fenders of the Z06. So it's personal preferance,it does not really have a set in stone meaning.

Interesting! Another case of BAD info on the net.
I was aware of the Grand Sport connection of course, but had read on one of the sites about the LT4 BS.
Thanks.
It's a shame that Chevy put them on the Fellows Vette, sort of ruins the GS connection.
