Corner on hatch is broken

Corner on hatch is broken

hey fellas, sorry I dont have a picture but my camera battery is dead. I circled the area here http://www.angelfire.com/va3/partypics/corner.JPG
the corner somehow or another got hit, and it is barley hanging on there. Is there any way to fix this? My dad suggested using bondo on the back of it, and that should do it. He also said that if push came to shove, to use one of those chrome door edge things on it, and that would hold it in. I honestly dont konw what to do for it. Thanks for your help!
