cop light idea, how can it work?

i want to try to have this light setup. where my foglights are, i want a red light on one side, and a blue light on the other side. and a switch inside that turns them on and they flash simotaneously (like cop lights) now i know this would be illegal, but im not gonna be driving around tryin to pull people over. i just think it would be cool (and funny). is there strobe kits that could work maybe?

First off thats a good sig man. I think the easiest way to do it would be to run strobes in the fog lights and try to change the bulb colors

Doesn't sound like a "powertrain" question... let's try moving this to "Appearance".

There's an LED fog light setup for the new Dodge Charger. Easily mounted into a Camaro and there's no significant current draw from the LED's like a strobe setup would cause.

jcwhitney.com has exactly what you're looking for. 150 for the setup...you can pick red, blue, or combo of foggers...and it comes complete with the kit and you can set up the flasher. one on one off, or both on at the same time...and speed on 4 different levels.

gotta love jcwhitney

I did that on my blue car. Granted it's just kind of cobbled together, but it works. I bought a basic strobe kit, pulled the lenses from my foglight housings. They were cracked anyway. I lined the housing with foil tape to make it nice and reflective. I cut some lenses from plexiglass and stuck it all back together. Pretty neat.

thats what I was gonna say to do, cheap route, but i'd say if you got the money and really want it to work well i'd go with the JCW kit...
